New Chapter

My Eulogy given on 27th July 2011 Mum, Aunt, Sister, Nan, friend and more recently Nannie Pam. We all have our own memories of a lady I proudly call Nan. My own memories include Saturday mornings at gymnastics, trips to the Royal Tournament and frequently being baby sat and being allowed to stay up late. I’m sure if you ask Lee & Zoë they will tell you their own stories, the important ones that mean so much to us. Zoe will tell you about reading to Nan in her car whilst waiting to pick up Lee, and in Zoë I see my Nan’s caring & kind nature. Lee & Nan watching ‘Jackass’ and roaring with laughter, as they definitely shared the same sense of humour. Personally my memories include 2 brief stories: the 1st when Nan was driving in the car, being in a rush to go out for her birthday and failed to see a cyclist, the two collided, Nan leaped out from her car picking up the cyclists bike and informed him “I can’t stop it’s my birthday!” Dashing off she left one perplexed and battered biker and his bike abandoned at the roadside. The 2nd story was when Nan came on holiday with us, neither Zoë nor I would share a double bunk with Lee, so I shared the bottom bunk with Nan, and Zoe was feeling quite unwell in the top bunk. Nan called up to Zoe and asked her if she wanted a sick bowl? Zoe responded by leaning over the top bunk and vomiting all over Nan below, it was a direct hit! These are the memories we will laugh at time and again until our memory fades. Nan I love you, we all love you and thank you as you have blessed us with your many antics. For those who really know her this joke is for you: You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, Germany doesn't want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named 'Bush', 'Dick', and 'Colon'.
